My son has been getting more and more feisty as the weeks have passed. More life force coursing through his little, energetic body. And voice. Which is great! This does mean, however, that for mum, who is making as much effort as possible to be attentive and involved at this tender, early stage, that his every need is my command. Which basically makes trying to do anything else a challenge, to say the least.
While it’s important (and crucial if you are sleep-deprived) to rest when babies rests, those rare, quiet and uninterrupted periods are valuable if one needs to get ‘things’ done. And things do still need to get done. It feels like one has to steal moments, snatch a bit of time here and there, in order to do stuff like, case in point, getting this post written!
Thank you, John Lennon, R.I.P., for giving my sentiments, so simply, poetically and completely, a voice. And while I may not be getting as much done on my ‘to-do’ list as I would like, I sure do enjoy slipping back into BEING.HERE.NOW. Our living, breathing here and now.
Stay blessed and enjoy the life you live. Warts and all. Om!
*Bonus! For this one you will need to understand some Finnish. It’s totally worth having it translated by someone who knows the language. Talk about truly unique, dark Finnish humor! Sesam likes to listen to this during his baby exercises with daddy 🙂
